Patients with chronic neck pain due to cervical degenerative disease often experience dizziness as well as neck pain. Many existing studies, both clinical and basic science, describe the connection of cervical disc degeneration and dizziness. A recent study indicated that cervicogenic general dizziness was diagnosed in 89% of such patients. Inappropriate neck postures over long periods of time may be a factor when there is existing degenerative cervical disc disease. Men and women have different triggers for their dizziness.
